Welcome from Mrs Clarke

It is my great pleasure to welcome you, and to guide you around our website.

King William Street CE Primary School is the oldest school in Swindon, and we celebrate this fact within the pages of our "Step into the Past" section of the website. You can read about how teaching methods have changed since the school first opened in 1871 and can read how World War 1 and World War 2 affected life at the school and how the building has changed through the years.

Each class has their own page within the Class Pages section. You can find out what your child will be studying throughout the year, and can also look in more detail at what they will be learning each term, by observing their class topic webs and reading the letters that each teacher sent home at the beginning of term.

The School Office section not only contains the most recent newsletter from the school, but past newsletters in the archived links - so you never need worry about losing the important diary dates section, or information related to school trips and events. Here you will also find an Events section with details of what is coming up in the life of the school, and occasionally there will be links to other pages on this site as well as Term Dates for this year - just to help you plan your holidays and avoid missing any precious school days!

The School Prospectus has now been updated for this academic year and can be found by visiting the Our School section. You will also find out about the curriculum and meet members of our staff. Information about our end of key stage academic achievements and our recent Ofsted and SIAMs inspection reports.

If you would like to find out a little more about the Governors, or the role they play in supporting the work of the school, the links to their areas can be found in the Governor tab on the main navigation bar of every page.

We hope that you enjoy using our website. If you feel there is something missing that you would find useful, or would like to feedback on our webiste, then the CONTACT US section is for you. Please send us an e-mail and let us know.

Thank you for your continued support.

Very best wishes

Margaret Clarke
