Harvest Festival

Our Harvest Festival began with the whole school singing and signing 'Let's Harvest.'

So, let's harvest - reap what we sow
Let's harvest - eat what we grow
Let's harvest - reap what we sow
Let's harvest - eat what we grow
And when the sun goes down
We'll share it all around

Tiger class shared their leaf printing collage whilst they sang a 'Harvest Time' song.

Polar Bear shared some prayers which thanked God for his creation:

We bless you, God of Seed and Harvest,
And we bless each other,
That the beauty of this world,
And the love that created it,
Might be expressed though our lives
And be a blessing to others,
Now and always
A. AMEN

Puffin class sang 'Thank you for almost everything!'

Zebra class shared their corn dolly prints whilst they sang 'Across the fields'.

Blue Whale sang 'Busy for the Harvest'.

Panda class created a dance to accompany the poem 'Harvest Festival comes around.'

In the fading of the summer sun,
the shortening of days, cooling breeze,
swallows' flight and moonlight rays
A. WE SEE THE CREATOR'S HAND

In the browning of leaves once green,
morning mists, autumn chill,
fruit that falls, frost's first kiss
A. WE SEE THE CREATOR'S HAND

Leopard class shared their collage pictures and read the short story of ‘The good Seed’.

Church Councillors told us about The Salvation Army and how the food we had collected would be used to help local people who  needed food parcels.
