Hands on Science

Panda and Polar Bear enjoyed their 'Hands on Science' day. Led by Mark.

Teeth Workshop where the children investigated what our teeth tell us about human beings. They then made a set of their own teeth.

Digestion Workshop where the children learnt about the key organs and functions in the digestion system. Then made their own end to end digestion system.

Skeleton Workshop where the children learnt why animals have skeletons and muscles. Every child makes a labelled dancing skeleton to take home.

CSI Fingerprints. Mark demonstrated how the police lift fingerprints at the scene of a crime. Each child then tried this out and using a magnifying glass identified the  characteristics that make them unique.

This colourful candle workshop introduced heat, light and chemical energy, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon.
