Polar Bear visit Oxenwood

After a short journey from school, we arrived at Oxenwood. We unloaded the coach and took a journey back in time to The Iron Age.

Inside the roundhouse the fire was lit using flint, steel and some charcoaled material. It was smoky!

Iron Age fashion.

We learnt how to make wattle and daub to patch the walls of the roundhouse.

Making jewellery.

After lunch we were transported forward to Roman Britain.

Battle stations.

After supper of chips, pizza and baked beans with a pudding of ice cream, fruit and/or sticky toffee cheesecake, we unpacked our bags and did our chores.

Then it was 'free-time' on the school field where we enjoyed playing football or tag.

At 8:00pm, we collected our torches and headed off for the 5 mile Spooky Walk. Then bed and lights out until 7:00am.

On Thursday, after breakfast and chore duty, we headed off to either shelter building or raft building.
