Leopard at Plas Pencelli

After a coach journey, the excited Leopards walked along the lane and up the hill to Plas Pencelli. After depositing their cases and bags in The Lodge they ate lunch!

After being fitted with coats and mountain walking gear, everyone went adventure walking which included river walking. It was great fun. Teatime soon arrived and all enjoyed pizza and chips followed by profiteroles. With tummies full, it was time to venture into the outdoors again, with orienteering with torches.

After a good nights sleep, it was up and dressed ready for breakfast. After breakfast, it was time to get ready for Tuesdays activities. For the activities today, the children were split into three groups and allocated different activities. However, due to the wet conditions, the climbing group joined the canoeists for a day of canoeing on the nearby canal. That left Mrs Kendall's group to be the first to 'go underground'. With helmets, lights and protective over gear the children explored the caves.

Tuesday evening was problem solving time.

Wednesday bought the sun. To take advantage of the dry weather everyone climbed. After returning to the centre and refuelling with food and drink, it was time for the evening activity. Tonight is was Dingle Descent, which meant walking down a stream in the dark.

Thursday was the penultimate day! So the menu of activities were canoeing for Mrs Kendall's group and caving for Mrs Harmer's and Mrs Batten's group. The canoeists not only enjoyed paddling along the canal, they thoroughly enjoyed jumping in afterwards.

Before leaving for home, Leopards are fitting in a morning of gorge walking.
